Intimate and familial painted images that fuse elements of portraiture with elements of landscape composition.
Begun initially whilst still a student at Royal college Of Art, By sticking together x 4 separate sheets of Canson paper, each one showing the cyclists view of himself in the midst of cycling actions. A further x 8 sheets were added, allowing the view to expand into the street-views through which the cyclist cycles. The composition was later adhered to stretched canvas, and finally worked to completion in 1993. A kind of 'cyclescape'. Pastel on Canson paper, stuck to canvas. 4.5ft x 7ft approx.
